Vintage / Antique Figurines, Set of Classical Musicians, All Marked, Made in Occupied Japan, Violinist, Cello Player, and Pianist with Separate Piano ~ Four Porcelain Pieces
Many occupied Japan figurines were produced between 1947 and 1948, during the early years of the American occupation of Japan after WWII. This is when decorative collectibles made by Japan for export to the United States were stamped with a mandatory Occupied Japan mark. The mark was used until 1952. Japanese figurines made during this era must have the official markings to be valuable to collectors.
Woman violin player, woman cellist, man posed for piano playing and piano. These are just beautifully detailed with lovely gold paint enhancements on collars, cuffs, shoes and piano and strings of instruments. Very rare to have a classical music trio as a set. Lovely Victorian appeal
