Antique Chess Pawn Austro Hungarian or Russian Silver-Gilt and Enamel Chess Piece.
Piece is crafted from silver-gilt and polychrome enamel, with jeweled accents
Russian Silver-gilt, Enamel, and Stone-set Chess Pawn, 20th century. Green enamel cloaked pawns by with base of acanthus leaves mounted with ruby and pearl cabochons, on red velveteen lined wood base.
The figures are designed in a Medieval style, with the kings and queens wearing enameled capes, the bishops with croziers, the knights on horseback, and the rooks modeled as round towers.
